New Tiaras! Finally!

I was originally making this for a little girl, but it turned out rather large, and I'm making a smaller tiara now, that still uses mostly the same elements. It is pretty much made completely out of wire, spray painted gold, and there are some pink acrylic hearts and gold faceted glass beads adorning it.

I've been wanting to making this tiara forever! It is one of those Burlesque-style mini crowns that lay off to one side on your head. It is based off of the Queen of Hearts from Alice in Wonderland. This thing took quite a long time to make, let me tell you!

I think this tiara turned out magnificently. It even has very nice, real freshwater pearls on it!

  1. You have and interesting blog. You obviously love tiaras and jewellery for the head. I also have a huge interest in that. I am a jeweller from South Africa and i have actually made real tiaras using gold and diamonds. i found your blog due to the fact that I saw you had been on my Doll Royalty blog where I post about all the jewellery I make in miniature. Thank you for the interest. By the way, the small coronet in this this post is my favourite piece of yours so far.

  2. Thanks so much! The mini crown about sold almost immediately when I posted it in my Etsy shop. They are weirdly more time consuming to make then they look, though, so I've not made many others like it.

I also follow your blog faithfully, it is very interesting. It is my dream to one day be a real jewelry designer. I just need the money to take the classes and buy the supplies!
